Next Stop

System

Designed alongside a team of peers, “Next Stop” Designing possible futures is a system designed for a mobile exhibition which explores the past, present, and a possible future Houston following the three pillars of sustainability.

Each team in our class designed a station focusing on one Houston issue and it’s solutions. The componets include a logo for the exhibition, signs to distinguish each team’s station, and an interective activity. The design envokes imagery from road signs as the team saw that transportation was an area that needed to be improved in Houston. It’s bright color pallete and use of arrows evokes the message of a bright future and forward motion.

My role for the project included designing the beacon structures as well as the main model maker. Throughout the project I functioned as the engineer to my team's architects, in order to take into account the cost and method of making the full scale structures.
